Childrens Butterfly Costume
For children, Halloween is one of the most fascinating Holidays. Fancy, spooky costumes, candies and fun: what more could a child wish for?
Children get very excited even before the Holiday when they prepare the costumes with their parents. One of the most popular costumes for children is the butterfly costume. Children find butterflies amazing through their simplicity and grace and want, if possible to have once a butterfly costume.
Even if these costumes are fancy, they do not cost too much money because all their accessories can be created at home. The butterfly costumes for girls usually consist of a fancy dress, leggings, butterfly wings, antennae and elegant shoes. For boys, the costume accessories are solid coloured pants, blouse, butterfly wings and antennae. The most common costume for boys is the monarch butterfly costume which is orange and black coloured.
You can keep your children busy before the Halloween by allowing them to create their own butterfly costumes. The butterfly wings, the mask, and antennae can be easily made at home. You need two or three cardboard sheets, acrylic colours, glittery markers and scissors.
You can find online or at the local craft shops wings and masks templates. Explain to your children how they have to paint, cut and decorate their costumes and they will surely have extremely nice childhood memories.
Encourage your children to be creative, let them use their imagination and see how the costumes will come out. Even if they won’t look as nice as the ones from the costume stores, your children will be proud to wear something that they have created. You can help and give them advices while they create their butterfly costumes and I am sure that the result will be really nice and unique.
If you decide to buy the butterfly costumes, let the children choose the colour and costume type. Encourage them to express their opinion about costumes and they will say what they think other times too!
Halloween is the time when the family spirit grows stronger and the children get more attached to their parents. Decorate the house together and let them choose the costume for you. They will have so much fun dressing you up. You can even let them choose the make-up and hairstyle for you.
While you prepare the costumes for Halloween, make sure that your children understand how important it is to take care how they move and play when they have the butterfly costume on. Explain them that like the butterfly’s wings, their wings are fragile too and can be easily damaged, get folded and look less beautiful. But that does not mean that they can not have a good time with the family and their friends.
